ballerina birthday bash

sunday at 3:00pm, we went to a ballerina birthday bash in celebration of little S. all the girls were dressed in their tutus, and the mabster was quite excited about it. it was a great birthday party with lots of stuff for the kids to do. the mabster made her own necklace out of pink and purple colored beads and wore it proudly all day long.the mabster even got to play dress up as she got her picture taken on the ballerina stage. she looked super cute until she realized that there was a room full of people and all eyes were on her. then she kinda panicked so this is the picture i got. it's the kind i seriously thought i was going to get with santa. but see, these kinds of pics are what make parenthood real. they're not always all smiles. bless her heart, she hates when all attention is on her especially if she doesn't know you. i love my sweet mess.after eating, all the pretty ballerinas went downstairs to learn a new dance. it was just the basics, and they looked adorable trying to model the moves. once they got it down and felt comfortable, they all came upstairs to show the parents. again, it was too cute, and we were all so proud.we sang to the birthday girl as she blew out her candles, and the mabster inhaled her cupcake. then little S opened up her gifts while everyone watched. the party was winding down so all the little ballerinas went downstairs again, but this time to play with the pull string ballerina slipper pinata. everyone got a pull, and then the candy finally fell. the mabster came home with a bagful after falling asleep on the car ride home. i love parties that wear me out, and my kid does too. so happy birthday little S, we had a great time!

my thoughts exactly! when you see a herd of little girls in pink tutus, it's hard to resist not taking some pics!
