our angels

little lyla's baptism is coming up on sunday. she will be wearing the same dress that the mabster wore on her special day. nan handmade this dress for the mabster two years ago, and i am very thankful that the grunt is the perfect size to celebrate in it as well. i posed the mabster on this same chair in the exact same dress. i can't help but compare pics because well, the dress is that special, and i just think it's neat.

here is the mabster at 4 months old in her christening gown...
now here is the grunt at 4 months old in the same christening gown...aren't they both so beautiful? they look similar, but still unique. okay so i'll be the first to admit that we're not big church goers at the moment. at one time we use to be, but since we've had both girls and lake season, well, we've completely slacked off. one thing's for sure though, i want my girls to grow up knowing God. knowing that He is there for them always no matter what life throws at them. i honestly don't care in what faith they believe, just as long as they BELIEVE. i believe God has great things planned for them, and i can't wait to watch them grow as they journey through it. mommy and daddy love you both, sweet girls.

"You are a special child, received with joy, christened with faith, and blessed with God's love."

just wait - when they are grown they will fight tooth and nail over that gown for their own children. At least that's what happened with my sisters. So I bought every child their own heirloom gown. Made me happy!

oh gawd, don't tell me that! maybe i can reference the bible and tell them,

"Divide the gown in two, and give half to the one and half to the other."

wonder what they'd do? hehe.
