family vacay, final day five

today was our last day in marco. it was rather bittersweet. the worst thing about coming here every year is having to leave it. so today we made sure that it was the laziest of all days. we didn't jump in the car not once since we knew we'd be in it all day tomorrow. the mabster woke up wanting to play in the sand so daddy grabbed her bucket, shovel, and toys and they walked down to the beach while lyla and i enjoyed the pool. daddy said that the mabster loves the sand and said that she had to make snow angels. how funny is that? snow angels, sand angels...same thing, right? daddy even took a picture of her for me. he knows me well.also, here's a picture of the sea wall. see that nice green patch to the left...that's where jay dropped down on one knee and proposed to me many moons ago. i was giddy as a schoolgirl and fell to my knees as well. i remember it like yesterday. we were so young without a care in the world...he was fishing off the sea wall while i took a late night dip in the pool. we took a walk beside it, and then the magic happened. years later, we use to sit on that same sea wall and drink some margaritas. now that we have kids, we don't go any where near it. not a chance. plus, i fear we may push each other in just for shits and giggles now that the honeymoon is over with. ahh, to be young again...after playing in the pool and then walking around and enjoying the scenery, it was time for the girls afternoon naps which also coincides with the afternoon rainstorm here. that rainstorm makes for some good sleep that's for sure. here is a quick pic i took right before the sky fell out. it was windy as hell. see that palm tree that looks like it's about to take off? yeah, i swear it almost did. if only we had a kite...now that would have been a hoot of a good time!goodnight and farewell our dear marco. you have made our maycation the best it's ever been. if it weren't for the fact that you are 12 hours away, i know we would come visit monthly. (sigh) if only retirement were just around the corner...
