happy valentine's day!

if you read my thursday's thirteen from last week, you might remember me talking about how the mabster wanted "diamonds" for valentine's day after seeing a certain commercial advertising them. well, daddy took notes and headed to our nearby claire's to pick up a few faux goodies for his girls. he went out on this quest by himself, and i was pretty proud and impressed with what he came back with. he gave his girls matching faux diamond necklaces that said, "daddy's girl" along with rings, bracelets, and sparkly headbands just to name a few. here are some pics...overall, the girls absolutely adored their valentine surprises from daddy. and mommy especially considering i was surprised with an appointment for an hour and a half massage today. by golly gee, it was fantastic and much needed. thank you, our #1 valentine. we love you! xoxo

(on a side note: i'm really glad that jay has started the tradition of always giving his girls just a little something on valentine's day because it reminds me of my dad and how he use to always do it for us when we were little girls. for you see, regardless if i was ever dating someone or not at the time, i always knew i'd get something from my dad that let me know he cared. again, it's the little things people. little things that speak volumes. and yes, even for a 3-year-old and a toddler. they will always remember stuff like this. i know i do.)
