passing through...

tonight, i met up with some dear college friends/sorority sisters at Rogue Tavern around 6:00pm for dinner. reason being because jessi (who is in the middle of relocating for her job) was driving through town and wanted to catch up with everyone since the last time we saw her was over christmas break. as soon as we walked through the door, you could see the festive flair flowing everywhere. everyone and their mother was wearing green, and it made me smile. so we spot the girls near the bar, greet each other with hugs, and start chatting about everything under the sun.

the tables were pretty much all full until KM sees one with a group that looks like they are about to leave. she walks up to them acts like she knows them, makes the small talk, and then next thing we know, we're laughing, taking pics together, and enjoying the table they left for us. some times i don't know how we do it. they were a lot of fun though. i mean c'mon, check out the dude beside me's fanny pack. of course, they're good people!so we sit down at our highly achieved table, order our salads, and chat, chat, chat. with a side of gossip. we compare notes of when everyone wants to start trying for babies and realize that we may all most likely be knocked up at the same time. oh what fun! lastly, it was good seeing jessi and all the girls tonight, especially since st. patty's day made it even more fun. thanks for a great time, ladies!

So funny, I'm a friend of Poodlehead and started reading your blog from a link on her page. The people in the picture are friends of mine - Karen, Phillip, and Karen's dad Don (don't recognize one of the guys)! It really is a small world!
