disney: day two

saturday morning, we wake up and get the girls ready in their super cute matching minnie mouse outfits that maloney (aka stickyfingerz boutique) had made for them. they looked absolutely adorable in them and quite honestly, i should have carried around her business card because people were asking and doting over them every where we went. i'm not even kidding. so we walked over to the nearby ferry for a ride over to the Magic Kingdom. as we walked up, the photographers grabbed our photopass card and took our family picture in front of cinderella's castle and then one of the girls. here are some pics...as we get closer to the castle, we notice that the next show with mickey and minnie was about to start. daddy puts the mabster on his shoulders so that she can get a better view and once the princesses started coming out and dancing, jay said that the mabster started shaking like a leaf. ya'll she was SOOO excited. the amazement in her eyes as she watched her dreams come true right in front of her was breathtaking. right then at that moment, jay and i looked at each other and knew that we made the right decision for a family vacation. it solidified that she is the PERFECT age to believe and get the most out of seeing all of her favorite disney characters, especially the princesses. later we rode a couple of rides starting out at the carousel. go figure. both of the girls really enjoyed it, and then we all rode on the dumbo ride.so we're jumping on rides right and left with surprisingly little to no wait thanks to the fastpass and an app that jay uploaded on his iphone. yep, there's an app for that. these next pictures are of the girls favorite rides: 1.) it's a small world and 2.) the teacups. ahh, so many childhood memories were brought back as i rode on the rides with them. i haven't been on those in over 20+ years. i still remember my dad spinning us around like crazy while on the teacups. jay was no different and the girls giggled till they ran out of breath. lyla almost lost her binkie out of her mouth laughing so hard, and unfortunately, i was the only one telling daddy to slow it down. after the ride ended, the mabster screamed, "let's do it again!!" hilarious.after riding more rides, we walked over to mickey and minnie's house and take a tour. after venturing around in toon town, we came across the tent where some of the princesses were. the girls got to talk to them, take a picture with them, and of course, they signed their autograph books. we also ran into goofy and donald duck. by the end of our trip, every single page had been signed and we left feeling that disney had been completed...until next year. here are some pics...lastly, the mabster rode her first real roller coaster with daddy called "goofy's barnstormer," and they even rode in the front seats. as soon as the ride was over, she came running up to me and baby sis and said, "i wasn't scared, mommy!" (sigh) so sweet. daddy even got her to hold her hands up during the first big hill. then later, we all rode the coffins throughout "the haunted mansion" where lyla fell asleep 30 seconds in. i can't say i blame her. it was dark, cold, and the coffin continuously rocked us the whole time. she was O-U-T!! sweet child of mine...needles to say, after sweet lil lyla fell asleep it started to rain for a bit. on that note, we decided to stop and sit down for dinner at liberty tree tavern inside the magic kingdom. the food was SOOO good. i lost 10 pounds before this trip, but found 2 while there. and believe me, it was worth every single calorie. after dinner, we all headed back to our room where we changed into something warm. lyla and i decided to call it a night and relax inside while staying dry. daddy and the mabster had other plans. they trekked back out and rode on dumbo, the carousel, and the teacups again. then they watched the "spectramagic" light parade, as well as the fireworks show in front of cinderella's castle. yeah. guess who slept like logs that night?!...
