thursday's thirteen

.) fairly certain i pissed myself while laughing/watching the scene of mitchell attacking the pigeon while cameron sang, "ave maria." #ModernFamily

.) While at abby's soccer game, Lola says, "Don't sit on the grass, you don't want to get your shorts dirty." #OhGeeze

.) last night, we ate sushi at our local Stix where the fortune cookie read: "This year your highest priority will be your family." spot on, confucius. spot on.

.) Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the little one wail to "Wind Beneath My Wings" just now. #BeautifullyButchered

.) the girls and i played outside with the water hose while jay cleaned boat. received at least 20 butt bug bites. i knew i had a sweet ass.

.) RT @msklk08: Stress Reducer #52. Have an optimistic view of the world. Believe that most people are doing the best they can.

.) according to the mabster who is addicted to the care bears movie thanks to netflix and daddy's ipad (which btw, she knows how to work better than i do), she says daily, "mommy is the camp champ." it makes me smile. and then i make her pick up the phone to tell daddy. ya know. because he needs to be reminded.

.) For the sake of sun & sanity, 20 minutes in a tanning bed is equivalent to 2 hours on the beach. #RandomButTrue

.) While cooking dinner, I say, "Dude, standing in front of this stove is hot!" Jay says, "Stove meet Kim, Kim meet stove." #ILoveMyAsshat

.) Family movie night. Man cave. Avatar and Lasagna. God is good.

.) this weekend, we'll be attending a birthday party for a very sweet little girl (happy birthday, KB!) and a wedding for two sweet friends (congrats, mugg and haley!). to finish it off, we'll finally be LAKEIN' IT, BABY!!! wish we were on the boat already...

.) Thankful that the neighbor boy is Emo because he likes to cut...cut our grass. and yes, i felt the need to capitalize the E in Emo. like it's a damn ethnicity in itself. #YupISaidIt

and lastly,

.) Abby told me that her teacher said that "She's a pretty smart girl." Then she asked me, "so mommy, am I pretty & smart? or just pretty smart?" My child = brilliant.
