radio city rockettes christmas spectacular

after abby and big B's christmas program, stacy and i checked the girls out of school early and made our way to nashville. reason being is because we had plans to attend the radio city rockettes christmas spectacular show on the following day. the weather was horrible with a bit of a wintery mix of sleet and rain, but we finally made it to grandma's (stacy's mom) house safely. as soon as we arrived, she had gifts laid out for the kids to open. it was the sweetest thing i've ever i know where stacy gets her thoughtfulness from. the kids tore into their presents where it revealed a princess needle point kit for abby and big B and some fun big crayons for lyla and CJ. they loved it. we ate dinner, gave hugs to uncle craig, and the kids played around the house till it was time to go to bed.we woke up the next morning and uncle craig surprised us with a heaping bagful of bagels. since he works at panera, he asked us the night before what we wanted for breakfast. we said bagels, and boy did the man deliver. it was hilarious. i guess we should be careful for what we wish for.after breakfast, the kids played all day and soon it was time for us to get ready for the show. lyla and CJ stayed with grandma while she watched them as we took abby and big B. the show started at 2:00pm and we arrived early to browse around the grand ole opry gift shop and grab some snacks. here are some pics we took before the show...once the rockettes and santa came out dancing, the girls were hooked. they danced in their seats as they told each other, "i'm that girl...the one in the purple..." it was adorable. the toy soldiers and later the nativity scene at the end were my favorite. it really put you in the holiday spirit. also, when abby started singing to "away in a manger," i admittedly started tearing up. let's not forget i'm preggo and well, it was too touching not to. i love moments like this with my kids. overall, it was a great trip to nashvegas with our BFFs. merry christmas, ya'll!!
