lyla's soccer game

due to conflicting schedules on saturday morning, jay took lyla to her soccer game while i took abby to cheer for her football game. lyla's game started at 8:30am and thankfully, both teams were wearing uniforms. lyla and cousin carson are on the white team and today, they played the green team. also, many thanks to tita karmie who gave both munchkins a new pair of matching white shin guards, soccer pants, and a super cute hairbow with pink ribbon and soccer balls on it for lyla. she was dressed to impress and that she did.jay said that she played the entire game and was having so much fun. the team did a quick cheer in the huddle before she kicked the ball off from midfield, ran around after it, and high-fived coach taylor along the way. daddy said that lyla was so ridiculously cute and was so proud of how great she was playing. he took enough pictures that while looking through them, i felt like i was there. here are a few...jay told me that cousin carson had a great time rolling around in the dirt and got the cutest picture of him and a teammate doing so. i guess in a three year old's mind, if he's not going to play at least he will look like he did...his uniform was a mess. love it. so lyla and cousin carson talked after the game and then they both ran through the victory tunnel once their soccer game was over. all in all, we're so proud of lyla and the enthusiasm she showed while playing the whole time. a big difference from her first game where she tended to prefer the sidelines. we're so proud of you, lyla, and are glad you are having fun. here are some pics...

that first pic is the cutest thing in the world! i love how at the end, carson looks like he really played... but he really just rolled around in the dirt. if you can't act the part, look the part. i'm sure i was a hot mess at that age too. i punked out of ballet, gymnastics AND brownies! amazing mom and dad never thought of sports.
