family ocoee trip!

thanks to karmie and an eye for fun, she found the living social deal for a discounted trip of camping and white water rafting down the ocoee river. we made this a girls trip last year and had so much fun on it that we knew we wanted to do it again, but this time have the whole family come. and that they did...including lisa. well due to the weather, the TVA was closed and we had to take a rain check for rafting. we didn't let that stop us though and continued on with our trip since everyone had already made arrangements through work and the kids were beyond excited about new adventures with their cousins.

some highlights of the trip were walking over the bridge running across the ocoee that hosted whitewater slalom events during the centennial 1996 summer olympics, making a bonfire where we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows to make smores, taking a scenic tour aboard the blue ridge railway station that made a stop near the georgia-tennessee line where we ate lunch and enjoyed some fun shopping. it was a quick trip, but one that was filled with great memories. our girls still talk about wanting to sleep in the cabin and "doing it all over again." i know one day they'll look back at these pics and think to themselves..."man, that was so much fun." these are the moments we live for...
